About

Starting, joining, participating, and leading a Political Science Club at your college or university is an excellent way to connect with peers, build your interpersonal, organizing, and leadership skills, contribute to the vibrancy of your campus’ community, network with local, state, and federal elected officials and appointed officials, and create spaces for discussions on the full range of local, state, national, and global political and policy issues.

Join Existing Club

  1. Find your campus existing political science club by asking friends, professors, visiting the Student Activities/Affairs Office, or reaching out to your campus’ student body president.
  2. Contact the Club President or Vice President and ask them when their next meeting is schedule.
  3. Attend the next Club meeting and start to learn how you can get involved and contribute to the meeting, activities, and events of the Club.

Start New Club

  1. Talk with friends in your political science classes and ask them to help you start a club.
  2. Find a political science professor who is willing to serve as your club’s faculty advisor.
  3. Check with your campus’ Student Activities/Affairs Offices to receive guidance how to formally start a Club.
